A few years ago, a scholar published under the pseudonym Christoph Luxenberg revolutionary theses on questions of the origin of the islamic Koran. This triggered a debate that has lasted until the present day. In Islamic Studies research in western and oriental univerties, this led to a rethinking of the study of the Koran.
